It's Been Awhile

Okay, so I was doing so well keeping everything updated, and then we moved, AGAIN. The end of July we moved into my sisters place for awhile. The girls were about to start school and we wanted to get them settled. I can't believe that it has already been almost two months that we have been here. Time has really flown by. Here is a summary of what has been happening. By the way, sorry no pictures. Since everything is still in storage (including my computer) I don't have access to downloading my pictures, and since I don't know where my camera dock is, I can't recharge my camera batteries, so no new pictures lately. That has got to change.

The girls started school at Oakcrest Elementary in August with their cousins. They absolutely love it. Allison is doing so well in second and making friends fast. Paige is loving first grade and the homework.

James has come to love Dora and Diego. He no longer watches the Baby Einstein movies, which is sad for me, it means my baby is growing up. He also can't get enough of his trucks. He lines them all up in a row on my bed and throws my pillows off to make more room for his toys. He also can't get enough of his cousin Hayley, poor thing can't even get ready for school in the morning without him following her.

As for me and the new little one coming, you got to love my doctor. My due date is October 20, he is supposed to have hip surgery on the 18th, so he scheduled my inducement for the 13th. :) Yeah!!! Now I can plan better, the girls go off track on the 15th, so I won't have to try and figure out schedules for 3 weeks. It seems like this pregnancy went by so fast. What happened to the year??? It is almost October. Next thing you know, here is Christmas.

Hopefully I will have pictures for the next post.

4th of July Bike Parade

This morning was the 1st Annual Independence Day Bike Parade in Grandma and Papa's neighborhood. It was to start at 9 a.m. and we were getting a little nervous when a quarter to nine, we were the only ones out there. We decorated the wagon for James to sit in, and decorated Papa's quad which Paige sat on with Papa. Allie called her the Parade Princess. The girls threw tootsie rolls to the four parade watchers and some landscapers that were working in the neighbors yard. We ended up having quite a few kids turn out with their bikes and scooters all decorated. We had 3 quads and some dogs also. After the parade, everyone gathered in front of Grandma and Papa's house for popsicles (most of the kids hadn't even had breakfast yet...eh it's a holiday right????) Next year they are planning to do the parade and then do a breakfast after. I think that they are doing another parade for the 24th of July. The kids can't wait. Here are some of the Parade participants

Anything with wheels. James took over the neighbors bike. Daddy didn't want me to put this on the blog (his son on a pink bike). James didn't care. All he knew was that it had wheels and a horn, he was in heaven. Here is John pulling James. Allie started out pulling, but a lot of the kids were tired after the first little hill so the parade was only up one street. Blow kisses to everyone James:)
Here is Papa and Princess Paige, waving to all their adoring fans.

Here is Allie, throwing candy at the huge crowds that gathered to watch:)

Day Out With Grandpa

Today the girls got to go fishing with Grandpa. They were so excited to go. They were only supposed to be there for 1 hour...6 hours later they came home. The girls were having so much fun, they didn't want to leave. Allie caught quite a few fish and is now really good at casting. I guess Paige doesn't have the patience to be a fishermen. She is my instant gratification child after all, but she was able to catch one fish, and boy did she carry on about catching that fish. The last 1/2 hour grandpa had Paige casting with just a weight (no hook). He was tired of cutting out all of the knots in the line (which Paige was quick to blame grandpa for:) )

Here are the girls fishing. Aren't they so cute?????

Here is Allie with her first fish.

Paige with her fish. She was so excited. They even watched a guy cut open a fish and all Paige talked about was the blood. They can't wait to go with grandpa again.:) But for now, they have to go take a bath since they both smell like fish.

Here comes the Tooth Fairy!!!!

Well, it finally happened. Allie lost her first tooth. Let me clarify that. She has lost her two bottom teeth, but the dentist pulled those because the grown up teeth were coming in and her stubborn baby teeth refused to fall out. So Allie has lost her first tooth the Natural Way. We knew that it would fall out soon, but it wasn't ready enough for mom to "help" it out:) Allie was trying to be sneaky and get into the chocolate chips without us knowing and what happened? "Mooommm, my tooth fell out" as she comes running in with chocolate all over her face and hands. See what happens when you try to be sneaky? Mom always finds out:):)

Early June Weather

Picture it. It's an early June, beautiful day. You wake up and go to get the kids ready for the day. What should they wear? Shouldn't be a hard question considering the time of year right? WRONG!!!! The kids insisted on wearing summer clothes, even though our nice June weather was more of a February cold wind storm. After driving me crazy all morning, I finally let them go outside on the back patio, thinking that it won't last long and they will be back in the house shortly. WRONG AGAIN!!!! The kids thought that it was great fun having the wind blow them all over the patio. James went squealing in delight. Notice the trees bending in the background?

Here are the kids pretending to be Superman. After the picture was taken, they all came in to get their sweaters so they could go back outside and play.

One of our summer storms. The girls tried to be like Uncle Rob and Kamryn and make rain angels on the driveway, but they wouldn't lay there long enough to get a good outline down.

Getting Caught Up Part 2

Hogle Zoo
The kids were invited to a Birthday Party at Hogle Zoo on May 24th. They had a lot of fun making a mask to wear and eating ice cream and cupcakes. After the party we walked around and saw all the animals (that weren't taking naps). My little guy was just as tired as all the cats.
Here are the kids sitting on the elephant statue. James was a little nervous when the statue starting making noises:)

After walking around and seeing the animals, we got to go on the train. Now mind you, the last time James went on the train he was 1 and cranky, and screamed the whole time and just got louder when the whistle blew. Needless to say, the girls did not want him to go on the train.

He was a little nervous when I put him down on the seat next to me to take his picture, but once the train started, he smiled ear to ear. He just had a handful of cheetos, so don't mind the messy face. I cleaned him up after the picture was taken.

Ahh, don't they look like loving sisters????

School Is Out - Let's have fun

On May 30 Grandma and I took the kids to Farm Country and the Dinosaur Museum to celebrate the last day of school. Ok, so they didn't go to their last day of school. It was only for 1 1/2 hours and they had the girls going at different times which meant that I would be at the school either dropping or picking someone up every 45 min. Not during these gas prices thank you very much. So instead of having them go, we went on a "Field Trip"

We were ready for the hot sun, luckily it was overcast and then started to rain when we were done. It's all in the timing.

The wagon ride was fun. I was surprised that Paige wanted to go on the wagon and not ride the horses (her usual pick). We hit a big bump and Grandma almost lost her sunglasses off her head and the kids bounced out of their seats. Luckily I had a hold of James. He thought it was great.

Here they are trying to get the horse to come over so they can pet it (sorry, I respected the horses privacy and didn't look to see if it was a boy or girl)

The kids wanted to ride a cow so I gave in. Hold On, you never know when this thing will take off. Once it started raining, we went over to the Dinosaur Museum and walked around. This was the first time that I took James without taking the stroller. He loved it. I had to chase him a couple of times, but it was easier to chase him without the stroller.

Here are the girls at the erosion table making a home for all of the little dinosaurs.

James wasn't so sure about getting dirty, at first...Luckily this stuff comes off easy. He was also more interested in one of the little girls that was playing at the table then in the dirt. Is this my future????

The girls wanted to take a silly picture on the baby dinosaur. I don't think Paige realizes that you do bunny ears on other people, not on yourself:)

James turned the corner and saw the shark, I thought he would get scared, but he ran up to it and started to talk to it.

The kids in the sand pit. They had a lot of fun digging for dinosaurs. That is, until James saw the little girl from the erosion table. Then all he was interested in was following her around and playing where she was playing. Sorry to break up the date buddy, but it was nap time for little man and mom was tired.

Let's Get Caught Up

It has been a crazy month. No, I have not been sleeping away the days with James, I have been packing and pulling my hair out. That, and playing a computer game that mom got me hooked on, thanks Mom. We have moved, again, and this one is only temporary until the basement is finished over at my sisters. I have a wonderful sister and brother-in-law who is letting us stay with them for awhile. My computer with all my pictures are in storage until we get moved in, so I downloaded some pics onto my moms computer so I can at least get you caught up. We also found out that we are going to have a boy, so we will be 2 and 2, it makes it easy on who shares bedrooms:). So, here we go...

I Wanna Be A Cowboy

Paige had a Cowboy Day at school, so of course, James had to try on the hat. What a cute little cowboy

Moving Day

While grandma and I were packing up the house, James got board and put himself to sleep on the kitchen floor. The carpet would have been softer, but you know the rule, never move a sleeping baby who is cranky.

Graduation Day

Paige graduated from Kindergarten on May 29th. Of course, my camera had a dead battery, so luckily grandma had hers. These are just of the post-graduate party. There were too many people standing in front to get a good shot of the actual graduation. Thank you inconsiderate ones...

James just woke up, so I will have to put in the rest of the pics later.

Finally!!!!!

I have had this blog created for a few months now. I finally have the time to actually add words and pictures to it. It will start out simple and hopefully later I will have more time to change things around to how I really want them. I am just getting to much pressure from family members to get this up and running:) Here are some pictures of the kids, they are not the most current photos, like I said, the pressure....Maybe next time James takes a nap and I don't fall asleep with him:) I might upload more current pictures and change things around. Until then....
